Todd Heinzl
Currently, Chief Executive Officer of The Governance Box Inc. (“GBX”) and The Governance Box LLP (“GBX USA”), companies focused on assisting globally minded companies to develop corporate governance policy & a Tier 1 and Tier 2 senior stock exchange listing outcome through a listing event for their shareholders: GBX offers structured and disciplined strategic thought leadership for each company through the development, implementation and adoption of effective corporate strategies.
Mr. Heinzl holds over 35 years of experience in the investment, merchant banking, and financial services industry. In recent years, Mr. Heinzl, as a consulting professional, has integrated governance, a foundational and mandatory component, into the management of the process of listing companies on a senior stock exchange, globally. Sector agnostic Mr. Heinzl works with companies from a variety of industries to facilitate maturity within their stock listings in an orderly, precise, and compliant process. Senior stock exchanges such as NASDAQ Capital Market, NYSE, Euronext, and London Stock Exchanges are increasingly demanding and rigorous oversight regarding the listing requirements of the issuers thereby making the exchange experience invaluable.
Mr. Heinzl is a member in good standing with the following organizations underpinning corporate governance excellence: Royal Canadian Military Institute (RCMI); Responsible Investing Association (RIA – Toronto, Ontario); Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD – Toronto, Ontario); European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI – Brussels, Belgium); Singapore Institute of Directors (SID – Singapore); Institute for Mergers & Acquisitions (IMAA – Vienna, Austria)
Mr. attended the University of Waterloo. Post University studies Mr. Heinzl earned his designation as a Certified Investment Manager (CIM) from the Canadian Securities Institute and was awarded his Fellow of Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) fellowship designation. Additionally, executive education includes the Wharton School of Business – Executive Management Diploma; and Corporate Governance: ESG and Diversity program. In 2022, Mr. Heinzl received the Order of Merit of Savoy (OMS) a dynastic Order of merit named Order of Merit of Savoy – divided like the Order of Saints Maurice and Lazarus.
